Over the course of 18 years The Glenlivet’s Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, takes this expression through a combination of cask types, including both first and second-fill American oak (for tropical fruitiness) and ex-sherry oak (for spicy complexity). The result of this deft navigation of the distilling arts is a gorgeous single malt that is complex, yet elegant and balanced. The Glenlivet 18 Year Old offers up an intensity that leaves you giving a little groan of pleasure. It displays an old gold apricot colour. To the nose, it exudes aromas of rich fruit and toffee. To the palate, it is balanced with bursts of sweet orange with a long raisins and spice finish.
The CAO Flathead Cigar Collection is inspired by the classic hot rods of the 50’s and 60’s. CAO was founded in 1968 and their factory is located Estelì, Nicaragua. While the company is rich with history, their passion is creating new cigars using unique and rare tobaccos. CAO has two advantages that many other cigar brands don’t have, a license to do anything and the leaves to pull it off. The type of tobacco, the origin or the packaging used bare no restrictions. CAO also has the largest inventory of tobacco and best access to rare, small-batch leave in the business. That means they can do things that no one has ever tried before, like making the Flathead or Pilon.
